Join us for our 2022 Spring Science Retreat!
Our annual Girls Get WISE Science Retreat will be in person this year! It?will be a day filled with engaging and hands-on STEM sessions, learning about various STEM reers from lol role models, and some great prizes!
This in-person event is for girls and under-represented genders (girls+) in grades 7-10.
Cost to attend is $10 per participant* and includes lunch. Spaces are limited so be sure to register early. Spots are limited so early registration is preferred. Registration opens April 18th and ends June 2nd, no exceptions.
Please note: The health and safety of our participants is our top priority. While we appreciate that the Nova Scotia Public Health restrictions related to COVID-19 have been lifted, we feel it is important to require participants of this event to wear a mask at all times, except for eating or drinking. Pierre Battah – Award-winning author and a leadership and HR specialist. He is a long-time nationally syndited workplace columnist for CBC/Radio-nada, and a TEDx presenter. His book Humanity at Work, Leading for Better Relationships and Results was released internationally in 2020 and won a gold medal at the Nautilus Book Awards in the US.
Fran?oise Roy – Founder of Solva Leadership and specialist in women’s leadership development and providing counsel in strategic communition. She was previously the Vice President of Marketing, Communition and Community with Uni Financial Cooperation, Deputy Minister at the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture of New Brunswick.

Dr. Tamara Franz-Odendaal from Mount Saint Vincent University, the nadian Black Scientists Network, and nada Research Chair Dr. Jennifer Adams, are studying the experiences of Black university students and postdocs in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine/Health Sciences) in nada.
